Skyline and Battle: Los Angeles share a lot of similarities. Alien invasion, exploding cities, small groups of people combating ET menace etc. However, Skyline was terrible – whereas Battle: Los Angeles has at least the opportunity to prove itself more than just a rehash of every single invasion film before it. Maybe using Skyline as an example of what not to do. Hopefully the addition of real actors in this alien sci-fi epic will assist the attempt. Harvey Dent has already got me sold.
